We met like most people our age…online. Our first date was at a local spot on Jazz Wednesday. After a night chatting away at the bar, we were smitten. Our third date was to the Seattle Aquarium, a spot we continue to frequent, as you can see.

Over two years later, Madison proposed to Morgan in the comfort of our home. A few months later, Morgan proposed back with a matching ring. We recently celebrated our engagement this summer.

While originally planning on a long engagement, life had other plans for us. Between the uncertainty of our current political moment and the unpredictability of the world at large, we started to look into the idea of eloping. And the more we thought about eloping, the more we began to believe this was the right decision for us. The idea of a lower-key, small-scale, intimate marriage where we could focus on our love and commitment to each other became something we were genuinely excited about.
